Qvidja Kraft’s researchers Erkki Aura, Anni Alitalo and Marko Niskanen have invented a biological method to produce biomethane. Microbes obtained from swamp convert carbon dioxide and hydrogen into methane. With this method the gain of biogas in existing biogas plants can be increased by 60 percent.
Qvidja Kraft has combined gasification of wood with microbe-based technique. First wood gas is converted into hydrogen and carbon dioxide using microbe reactor. After that another microbe reactor assists to convert hydrogen and carbon dioxide into methane.
